October is here already & lots of banjo, guitar, & dulcimer music coming !
Returning to Cashiers to play an Evening of Banjo & fiddle with champion NC fiddler & banjo builder,Tim Gardner on October 20th--see my calendar of events for details.
Going to be a part of the 2017 Banjo Babes Calendar & CD--this time I'll be featured in October & have an original tune on the compilation CD--more details soon about when its available
This fall I'm also taking a world music class in the music department at FSU--the FSU Irish Music Ensemble & I'll be playing celtic guitar & some Cello Banjo with them. Right now its a 10 piece group & I'm busy learning all kinds of new tunes--our first concert will be at the local Fifth & Thomas on October 26--check my events calendar as more details arrive :)
Also on the Horizon in December--Banjo Days Event in Pennsylvania :)
And I've been continuing to post many impromptu videos of clawhammer banjo tunes and more on my Facebook page. It's set to be viewable by the public, so you don't have to even be a friend to view them and listen. The most popular video so far this year is the one my neighbor taped at 7:30 am the morning after Hurricane Hermine passed through Tallahassee--sitting on an uprooted pine tree and playing a banjo tune :) We lost electric, cable,internet, trees were down everywhere--but there will be banjo :)
