We played together at the Priceless Festival in 2019 in the California mountains & now we're bringing it to Tallahassee just in time for the holidays.

Thanks to the fine folks in Petal, MS--Mary Z. won the Deep South Mountain Dulcimer Championship in Feb. 2020--just before everything shut down for the Pandemic. Then the national contest had to move the 2020 finals to September 2021. But all the regional winners of 2020 &2021 have a competition place in the finals & we are gonna pack the camper and go ! Don't have our travel details yet--but if anyone else out there is going and if you are on the way from Tallahassee FL to Winfield Kansas--please let us know. Or if you are going to be there--let us know so we can pick and visit :)

WoW ! This looks like a wonderful festival--just look at the line up of performers, workshop hosts, jams, picking already simmering up. They have asked me to teach some mountain dulcimer & clawhammer banjo & see there's gonna be some other instruments too. http://www.gebharddulcimer.org/featured-performers Going to post details when they start coming in--but please put June 13--14th on your calendar for 2020. Bob & I are gonna get the new Bambi revved up and we will be camping at this event. Please save the date & details will be announced soon. But this is gonna be an incredible concert where Mary Z & Runa will play a double header concert. If you haven't heard Runa--they are an awesome world class Irish Band that take the stage by storm. Its also my birthday weekend & am so honored that I'll be able to do my February birthday and Valentine day set--& the opera house has promised chocolate cake with chocolate cake for everyone to celebrate February birthdays. This is gonna be a really fun & exciting concert & really want everyone I know & love to come and be a part of it--gonna be some wonderful music and chocolate cake--this is the 1st time this combination has happened & I'm looking so forward to being part of this. :) If you have never been to the Monticello Opera House--its 120 years old--beautiful and probably the best acoustics of a small intimate hall in the south. If you've been before--you know how magical it is :)

2021 Florida Folk Festival/Memorial Day weekend--Looks like we might be vaccinated & Florida's Folk Festival may be back LIVE in 2021. As more information becomes available--we'll post the times and dates & stages of where we'll be. Bob & I have made it through 2020 & we are soooo looking forward to seeing our music buddies and friends live again.
Just won 1st place in the Deep South Dulcimer Contest in Petal, Mississippi and one of the prizes was a admission ticket to the Walnut Valley Festival and an entry into the National Mountain Dulcimer Championships. The festival runs from September 16-20 th 2020.
And of course--this is a great dulcimer adventure & I plan to go--the bumper sticker is already on my Highlander.
Not sure if I will be leaving from Tallahassee, Fl or Cashiers NC yet--but Bob probably cannot get off work this time of year--so looking for some possible house concerts or dulcimer or banjo workshops on the way out or possibly the way back. Also--may be looking for a travel buddy for the trip. Drop me an email if you look like you would host a small house concert and/or workshop on the way to or from Tallahassee or NC to Winfield KS and back :)
