Here's a free download of my version of Stephen Foster"s "Old Folks At Home" on a gut strung Elite Classic tuned in low A.
Mr. Foster never saw the Suwannee River, but I've swum in it, kayaked it, and sat by it and played banjo many times. For since before I was born--this was Florida's state song. It has been recently changed to a tune that is better performed by formal choruses, but to many Floridians, this will always be Florida's song.
