Yazid and Mary Z. Cox will be visiting White Springs on Saturday and will be bringing their Afro/Caribbean drumming with Celtic claw hammer frailing fusion banjo to the Cracker Coffee House. We'll also have some of our brand new CD, Drumming On the Edge Of Banjo, available. :)

Yes, it’s time for yet another Coffee House at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in beautiful White Springs. We will be gathering in the Auditorium this Saturday evening from 7 to 9pm. Those who wish to have their 10 minutes of fame on our stage are encouraged to arrive at 6:45 to sign up. Our host will be Michael Vickey of the great state of Pennsylvania. Michael has performed many times at the Coffee House, but this will be his first hosting opportunity and we look forward to his being here. Michael plays a variety of instruments, but his forte is dulcimer – both hammer and mountain. As usual, we need your dessert donations and I thank you in advance for your support. It’s the sale of these dessert items and drinks which allow the Coffee House to continue. A reminder: we do not have a Coffee House in April because the first weekend of that month is the Antique Tractor Show here at your park and the Auditorium area will be taken with tractors, antique farming equipment and vendors. However, that weekend is also Easter Sunday (April 4th) and you are invited to attend the annual Easter Sunrise Service. The park will open at 6:15am and the service will begin promptly at 7am on the Tower lawn. If weather permits, the service will be outside as we celebrate this important Christian holiday.
