Bob and I have signed up for Scottish Heritage Week at the John C. Campbell Folkschool the week of September 4-10 2011. I will use my instructor voucher for either singing or quilting class and Bob will be taking the cooking class.
My first Scots ancestor to come to America was Charles Peck Thompson--who arrived in the 1700s--and made his way west from the East coast to settle in West Virginia.
If anyone else is taking a course this week--let us know--we always bring instruments and there will be picking. :)
